Successful Paperless Lab Forum Vialis - Is less more in a paperless laboratory?
Over 100 delegates were able to attend the 7th consecutive Paperless Lab Forum, which at the same time is also the first one taking place in Copenhagen. The 2 day forum was organized by Vialis AG and held at the Crowne Plaza Towers Copenhagen, a convenient location, close to the airport. The Paperless Lab Forum continues to be the ideal learning platform for those considering the latest Paperless Lab initiatives or enhancing their present processes. Over 20 presentations and live demonstrations showed that a paperless laboratory is not a goal on itself, but a result of implementing self-documenting processes. Every time when we survey the audience of a conference we are surprised that only few organizations do have implemented barcode technology within their daily operations. While in almost all other industry segments including chemicals, food and beverage, hospitals this number is over 70%, in pharma laboratories this proven, robust technology seems a “bridge too far”. 
On May 15, a condensed edition of Paperless Lab Forum was held in Istanbul – Turkey. Over 25 delegates attended this other successful event.
